Greetings,

It is my pleasure to welcome you to Broadacres Avenue Elementary and Visual and Performing Arts Magnet. Broadacres is an urban community school located in the south region of the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD). Our school is privileged to have an extremely dedicated faculty, staff and administration that continually provides students with a high quality instructional program that includes a rigorous standards-based curriculum which addresses the needs of all students.

Although our kindergarten program is the flagship class currently (2022-2023), all of our students will be exposed to a rich arts curriculum. We believe that art is a mode of inquiry as well as aesthetic expression. It allows students to make sense of their experiences and pose questions when words fail.

Throughout the year, our students enjoy participating in numerous visual and performing arts events including art shows, musical performances, theater classes and more.

Broadacres Ave. School and VAPA Magnet maintains high academic standards while providing a nurturing, small community environment. We are pride ourselves on creating a “family-like” atmosphere where students feel safe and comfortable.
